Sun, Blue Skies, Green grass and sillhouttes...

Now that the sun is slowly coming back, and my cough, is a bit better, *cough, cough! Wheeze! *gasp! i was coughing for the past few days, and it felt as if my lungs were trying to escape through my throat. and man i missed the sunshine. and thankfully i finally had the permit from my authority and went on out with my buddies, jellyikan and kkho out for a bit of shots at Kuala Selangor. The sun... was powerful! the skies... are so blue! the fields... are so green! it does feels good to be out...

Halfway through, we came across a bunch of farmers, razing/ burning the field, it is to make way for their new crop, fire rejuvenates i see...

Hot sun, cool breeze and fire... Perfect!

Next, we went to Pantai Remis, and it was full of anglers and people flying kites (*snicker...).

here's my attempt on abstract, but i think, the perspective is wrong, maybe next time then.

ahh, it does feels good to be under the sun, when was the last time you went out in the sun and got black? a bit of sweat (in my case, buckets) won't kill and by god, it was worth the effort...

i hope you had a pleasant weekend too. :D

    Monkey hill revisited

After i got my new 12-24mm lens i was a bit excited to shoot some landscapes, but then again, i woke up late. it was a bit late for sunrises and such so my next best bet is to go macro photography, which i am still not so good at it. Armed with a tripod and my macro lens, and off i go for the moneky hill which is situated behind my house.

First of all i came through a weird pattern on this tree...

eh? why so strange one ah?

Upon closer inspection... they happen to be a bunch of catterpillars huddled together!

yea, all of them huddled together in one bunch. don't know why they do that, for body heat maybe?

Next, i isolated one of them away from the pack and starter shooting away

oh, it has cute little eyes!

Boy oh boy, they're just so freaking hairy!

They're so hairy, i wonder how itchy will you get when you touch them.

Next,  i saw a few more bugs running around. don't really know their names though.

yes, i know, they still look soft...

    i wonder who did this...

i think i still have alot more of room to improve on my macro photography. but i will be honest, ever since i came back from bintulu, it took me quite an effort to start things up again, it has been way too long since i have practising on photography. i will try and try again, and of course, this blog will be active again as usual. i will make it a point to blog at least twice a week...

but please, if you have something which you hate about my photography, i am all ears!

Daddy's got a brand new toy...

Yeah, introducing the Tuakina 12-24. The cheaper alternative to the Nikkor 12-24mm. it's a wide angle lens and it's usually suitable for landscape shots. i have yet to fully use it yet. because i was a bit late waking up last sunday. Instead i did some macro which i will post later.

    yep, it goes from 12mm...

    straight up to 24mm.
